POTUS Trump spent sometime Monday morning speaking with astronauts aboard the International Space Station. After congratulating Peggy Whitson on her record-breaking consecutive days spent in space by an American astronaut, Trump asked specifically what we were learning from keeping her up there for so long.
Whitson explainted that her life aboard the ISS is helping them better understand and gauge how life on mars, and other future deep-space missions, would differ from life on Earth. This includes finding ways to find sources of water.
“It’s really not as bad as it sounds,” Whitson added after explaining to Trump they “clean up [their] urine and make it drinkable.”
“That’s great,” Trump answered with a sly grin on his face. “Better you than me.”
