The proof is in the pudding, ya’ll. We just keep hearing more and more about Supreme Court wins with President Trump.
Just this month the highest court in the land has ordered it permissible for the Trump administration to start enforcing new limits on immigrants who are more likely to be dependent on government-funded programs such as WIC or housing assistance.
Even Ruth Bader-Ginsburg sided with the President and she hates him with an ever-burning passion.
According to NBC,
The court voted 5-4. Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Stephen Breyer, Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan said they would have left a lower court ruling in place that blocked enforcement while a legal challenge works its way through the courts.
In the past, that was largely based on an assessment that an immigrant would be dependent upon cash benefits. But the Trump administration proposed to broaden the definition to include noncash benefits, such as Medicaid, supplemental nutrition and federal housing assistance.
According to Forbes, immigration analysts expect the implementation of the public charge rule to be merciless. An applicant would be denied permanent residence if a consular officer or immigration adjudicator issues a prediction that the applicant might use certain benefits for a 12 month time period within a future 36 month period. U.S. District Judge George Daniels said there is no precedent for this in the history of U.S. law.
