You can always count on President Donald Trump to stand up and do what is right, despite what anyone else might think of him. Not only has he been up against the elites, the Democrats, and the RINOs while cleaning out the Swamp, he also stands his ground against corrupt foreign leaders and their policies.
During a press conference this Monday, Trump turned down renegotiating the trade deal between the United States and China. Even though it is said that Beijing is seeking more favorable terms in light of the coronavirus pandemic, the president declared that he is “not interested.”
Steve Holland, a Reuters journalist who covers the White House, asked the president, “The South China Morning Post, the Beijing newspaper, says China would like to reopen negotiations on the trade deal to make the terms more favorable to them. Is this something you’d be interested in doing?”
President Donald Trump responded, “No, not at all. Not even a little bit. I’m not interested. We signed a deal. I had heard that too that they’d like to reopen the trade talks to make it a better deal for them. China’s been taking advantage of the United States for many, many years, for decades. Because we had people in this position, right here where I’m standing, sitting in the Oval Office, that allowed that to happen. No, I’m not interested. Let’s see if they live up to the deal that they signed.”
So basically China can take their deal and shove it! Next time we DON’T have to close the country because of a global pandemic, thank your president.
