We all know Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is full of fresh new ideas to make the world a better place. Some of them are dumb ideas, and others are just outright very dumb ideas.
One of her more recent brilliant ideas has led to 12 solar power workers of Bright Power to be fired from their jobs.
After AOC decided to stick her nose in where it doesn’t belong and encouraged the workers to form a union, the owners of the solar power company fired the entire workforce. While in negotiation for their first contract, the union was fired and in lieu of a full-time workforce, the company decided to go back to what they used to do which was to just hire subcontractors.
According to Money and Markets,
Back in April, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s ludicrous Green New Deal inspired a group of New York City construction workers to unionize, becoming one of the first unions in the solar power industry. It didn’t last long, though.
“We have come to the conclusion that our resources have been spread too thin with so many different kinds of work all being done in-house,” Jeffrey Perlman, Bright Power CEO, said in a company email, according to Vice. “It makes business sense to return to a fully subcontracted solar installation model.”
AOC was very upset and shared a tweet condemning the company for their actions:
Many have told me they think the pro-justice & worker provisions in the Green New Deal are “unnecessary.”
Yet this example is why a just transition is vital. Without it, oil barons turn into energy barons, & workers are hurt all the same.

This shows the real dangers of not only unionizing but also with following along with socialist liberals who have no real understanding of economics and business.
