Linda Tripp, the woman who recorded conversations between Monica Lewinsky and former President Clinton leading to the president’s impeachment, is on her death bed.
Her daughter, Allison Tripp Foley said late Tuesday, “My mommy is leaving this earth. I don’t know myself if I can survive this heartache.” In her FB post, Allison said she is at her mother’s bedside, and she asked for prayers for “a painless process for the strongest woman I will ever know in my entire lifetime.”It has not been confirmed what illness, or medical crisis the 70-year-old is fighting. However, her daughter did confirm that it is absolutely not COVID-19.

Tripp is best known as a whistleblower for handing over secretly-recorded conversations between herself and Monica Lewinsky to Former United States Solicitor General, Ken Starr in January of 1998. The recordings ultimately exposed Lewinsky’s sexual relationship with former president Bill Clinton.

Linda also told Starr about the infamous blue dress that had a semen stain that provided undeniable DNA evidence that proved the relationship despite Clintons’ official denials. Tripp was working in the public affairs office in the Pentagon when she befriended the 22-year-old White House intern Monica Lewinsky and uncovered evidence about the intern’s physical relationship with the president. And the rest is history.
Upon hearing the news of Linda’s illness, Lewinsky responded saying, “no matter the past, upon hearing that Linda Tripp is very seriously ill, I hope for her recovery. I can’t imagine how difficult this is for her family.”
A representative of the Tripp family is asking that respect and privacy be given during this difficult time.
