We’re now down to the wire—just eight days until Election Day, and the face-off between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris couldn’t be tighter. Neither candidate has broken away as the clear leader, keeping everyone on edge.
This election is a turning point for America, plain and simple. Harris is all about pushing “change,” but given her role as VP, it’s hard to imagine that her administration would offer anything different than what we’ve already seen.
On the other hand, Donald Trump is exactly what America needs right now to course-correct. In light of this, Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt, from the pivotal state of Wisconsin, recently testified before a House Judiciary Committee in Milwaukee to lay out what’s at risk if Trump doesn’t win.
As reported by the Daily Wire: “If Trump doesn’t win this election, we are screwed,” Schmidt quoted a fellow Wisconsin sheriff as saying, adding that another sheriff remarked, “people don’t understand how bad it is.”
Schmidt spoke from his own experience, citing the rising threat of drug trafficking from Mexican cartels that’s now hitting his county directly.
“I’m fearful for my family. I’m fearful for the families of those who serve alongside me,” he said, referring to the surge of cartel-linked violence and drug trafficking.
The sheriff further noted the difficulty law enforcement faces across Wisconsin as they deal with people pulled over without valid IDs or licenses.
“I’d love to put a border around Dodge County or the whole state of Wisconsin, but we need federal action at our southern border,” Schmidt argued. He highlighted that every year in Wisconsin, 1,500 lives are lost to fentanyl poisoning alone.
Sheriff Schmidt isn’t wrong. If Trump loses to Harris, America is in deep trouble.
Biden-Harris’ America
Under the Biden-Harris administration, America’s taken a beating. Our economy is struggling, inflation is through the roof, and we’ve seen a surge of illegal immigration. Meanwhile, everyday Americans are barely managing to make ends meet. In the shadows, drug trafficking is rampant, with fentanyl overdoses claiming lives daily.
As VP, Harris has had four years to address these crises. But instead of improving, the situation has spiraled. Trump, on the other hand, would tackle these issues head-on from day one. He’s ready to bring the real change that the Biden-Harris administration has failed to deliver.
Unlike Harris, Trump has stood by law enforcement. He’s backed the men and women in blue who risk everything for our safety. Though Harris once served as a prosecutor, she’s now leaned into the “woke” narrative, often prioritizing criminals over those who uphold the law. For those who care about law and order, there’s only one clear choice: Trump.
Let’s hope we don’t have to find out what it truly means to be “screwed” if Trump doesn’t pull through. Here’s to a victory come Election Day!
