So the 2020 Democratic National Convention has finally come to an end. The virtual event suffered all the usual frills of a cheap clip show where the talent just phones in whatever they have been told to say. In short, it was a complete mess.
The messages were mixed and the moods were stale. It was totally disjointed which matches the vibe of the whole party itself.
There was a mostly predictable list of speakers. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez gave her usual nod to the radical and progressive, Bill Clinton showed despite accusations of involvement in yet another sex trafficking ring, and Hillary spent her time looking back on her epic loss in 2016. Everyone showed their support for Biden by talking about how awful Trump is.
According to the New York Post:
Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s controversial son Hunter Biden helped introduce him Thursday in a video on the final night of the Democratic National Convention.
Hunter Biden, 50, hailed his father as “honest” and someone who “will never let you down.”
Hunter and his sister Ashley Biden, 39, took turns praising their father.
“We want to tell you what kind of president our dad will be,” Hunter said.
“He will be tough,” Ashley said.
“And honest,” Hunter added.
“He will make your grandkids feel that what they’ve got to say matters,” Hunter said in promotion of his father.
“The strongest shoulder you can ever lean on,” he said.
“He’ll be the worst enemy any bully ever saw,” Ashley Biden said.
