Let’s go back to easier more simple times in 2020 when President Trump was in the middle of the impeachment hearings.
At the time, the New York Times reported on information from United States intelligence officials that Russian hackers were looking for evidence Biden’s and hacked Burisma.

The Times’ report also cited a US security official as saying Russian hacking attempts against Burisma “appear to be running parallel” to efforts by Russian spies in Ukraine to obtain dirt that might embarrass the Bidens. Specifically, they’re said to be searching for emails, financial documents, and legal records.
Because of new information we now know that is not where the emails came from. They actually came from several laptop hard drives left at a Delaware computer shop by Hunter Biden himself.
Looking at the evidence so far, it appears that the Hunter Biden computer drive and its contents are legit, and that after the FBI retrieved the device in late 2019, someone leaked a false story in January 2020 for damage control, to allege that the Russians had hacked Burisma.

When looking at the timeline, keep in mind that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi had initiated the impeachment process on September 24, 2019.

At the same time that the Democrats were pursuing the impeachment process by sending articles of impeachment to the Senate, the FBI already had all the emails corroborating President Trump’s claims about Hunter Biden and Burisma.
The Democrats were using the impeachment as a distraction while they attempted to rescue Joe Biden and his family from shady business dealings. It’s no surprise that Biden responded the way he did when questioned about it.
