A bakery in Hatboro, Pennsylvania, has tallied up the final score of what is probably the most important poll of the entire election.
Lochel’s is a family-owned bakery that has held a “cookie poll” for the last four election cycles and has accurately predicted the president three times.
The results fall in line with what bakery owner Kathleen Lochel had expected – the Trump cookies outsold the Biden cookies by an overwhelmingly large margin.
According to Lochel’s final count, the Trump-themed cookies sold 31,804, while Biden-themed cookies only sold 5,750.
The real winners here are Lochel and the 37,554 people all over the country who got to eat her delicious cookies.
Just like in the real presidential election the cookie poll “superseded” anything the bakery had ever seen before. Kathleen said in an interview, “This is definitely by far the busiest we’ve ever been.”
There are still voters out there who have yet to receive their cookie orders but Lochel promised to continue to bake the limited-edition treats until all previous orders are met and she has plans to debut a “celebratory” cookie once the official election results have been announced. So if you haven’t had a chance to satisfy your political sweet tooth you still have a chance.
