San Francisco hair salon owner Erica Kious is being forced to shut down her store for good after controversy over a visit by Nancy Pelosi last week that has destroyed her business and made her fear for her life in a city where she has lived for the past fifteen years.
Surveillance video showing the Speaker of the House visiting the salon for a hair wash and blowout without wearing a mask, despite the fact that Democrats forced salons to close their doors due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Kious told Fox News' host Tucker Carlson about how she was attacked for exposing Pelosi.
“I started to just get a ton of phone calls, text messages, emails, all my Yelp reviews… saying that they hope I go under and that I fail,” said Kious. “So just a lot of negativity towards my business.”
Carlson asked, "So what does that mean for the business?"
"That means that I am actually done in San Francisco," responded Kious," and closing my doors, unfortunately."
The host clarifies, "Because you told the truth about the Speak of the House - you're not a political person, I should say again - you told the truth about a politician violating her own rules in your store, you have to close the store and go out of business."
“Yes, that's-- I'm actually afraid to go back just because of the messages and emails I've been getting... It’s a little scary and sad,” Kious said. “I do have a lot of positive calls and text messages from clients. But other than that, nothing but negativity."
Carlson asked Koius if she was physically afraid to go back to the city of San Francisco.
She responded, "I am right now. Yes."
Kious hinted toward the fact that the problem with the city is much bigger than her situation, "Unfortunately, it's going down a path that - a lot of people feel that way, I'm not the only one. Obviously I'm the only one in this situation but a lot of people are leaving, they're feeling unsafe. It's sad."
