Rapper Who Performed At ‘March For Our Lives’ Arrested… On Gun Charges

News For You

Vic Mensa, who is apparently a rapper (I’ve never heard of but no surprise there) decided to show his support for the March for Our Lives protestors and perform at the rally… solidifying his stance, or so it would seem.

He dedicated the performance to “all of the unarmed black men and women killed by police weapons” just before rapping about Congress and their inaction on gun control.

Vic Mensa, whose real name is Victor Kwesi Mensah, was stopped for a traffic violation in Beverly Hills last month when he showed the officers a concealed-carry permit.

The problem? It was issued in another state and not valid in California.

According to TMZ, he was charged with one felony count of carrying a concealed weapon. He was released on $35,000 bail and has pleaded no contest and received two years probation.

He recently got into a feud with fellow rapper, Killer Mike, who stated in an interview he didn’t want his kids participating in the school walkouts.

“To @KillerMike : YOU DONT NEED AN AR-15. As a black man & fellow gun owner I would like to have a debate with you about your stances on gun-control.”

“I told my kids on the school walkout, I love you if you walk out that school, walk out my house….We are not a family that jumps on every single thing an ally of ours does because some stuff we just don’t agree with,” Killer Mike said in the interview, which was published Saturday during the gun-control protests.

Render said he regretted the timing of the interview in a video posted to Twitter Sunday and encouraged the student activists to keep organizing.
