Shaun Weiss, who is best known for playing Goldberg on “The Mighty Ducks“, has been arrested once again. The former child actor was taken into custody after he was found shoplifting more than $200 worth of merchandise. TMZ first broke the news.

According to TMZ, Weiss was arrested last month on a petty theft charge and a probation violation. Reportedly, the 38-year-old actor was found shoplifting more than $200 worth of merchandise from a Rite Aid in Los Angeles.

In 2017, Weiss was sentenced to 150 days in a local jail after he pled no contest to stealing $151 in merchandise at a Fry’s Electronics store. Shortly before he reported to jail, he was arrested for possession of meth. Weiss ended up serving only 12 days of his sentence due to overcrowding.

But was immediately sent back after getting arrested for possession of methamphetamine just five days after his release. He was booked into the Burbank City Jail on a misdemeanor possession charge. His bail was set at $62,000.

The actor was also found in possession of credit cards in someone else’s name, but the owner of the cards was a friend who didn’t want to prosecute Weiss.

Weiss was arrested in August of 2018 for public intoxication, which was the arrest that prompted him to seek help, writing in a Facebook post that “without immediate treatment my life is in eminent danger.”

Just three months after he announced he was seeking help, Weiss was arrested for allegedly shoplifting more than $200 worth of stuff from a Los Angeles Rite Aid, according to TMZ.

Before the wheels fell off, Weiss was using his charm and notoriety to become a funny stand-up. Here he is in March of 2015 at the San Jose Improv joking about how talent managers confused his affinity for being a wise ass as a kid with talent.
