The video revealed that Straight, who was naked, persistently tried to get the girl’s attention during the night. An arrest report from the Pensacola News Journal disclosed that the girl’s parents had installed the security camera after growing suspicious of their neighbor, Eric Straight, who was a self-proclaimed nudist. Previously, the parents had specifically instructed Straight not to trespass on their property in the nude.
Despite the warning, Straight continued to visit the girl’s window. The sheriff expressed his disgust, explaining that Straight was naked each time he knocked on the window. The surveillance camera also caught Straight removing the screen from the girl’s bedroom window, an act the parents had discovered on two separate occasions.
On one Saturday night, Straight was captured on camera wearing a revealing thong-like garment. The girl’s parents identified Straight in the footage, which showed him appearing aroused. They promptly contacted the sheriff’s office, leading to Straight’s arrest and subsequent charges of aggravated stalking of a victim under 12 and trespassing.
Sheriff Johnson held a press conference to address the case, where he candidly expressed his thoughts on the matter.
