Is this what we call a villain turns superhero?

In a bizarre change of event, these Crook’s Family is demanding justice after the store clerk defended himself from a robbery attempt.

A disturbing incident involving robbery and gunfire at a Dollar General store was reported to 911.

The sun was still high in the sky when an armed robber barged into a Dollar General store in Columbus, Ohio, demanding all the cash. The robber was threatening with his handgun as he targeted the dollar store in Dayton, Ohio. But this time, instead of giving the robber money, the Dollar General employee pulled out his own gun and opened fire on him.

“He pointed a gun at me. I had a firearm on me. I pulled my firearm, and I shot him in self-defense, and he shot back.” the caller who is the Dollar General worker said to the 911 operator.

An armed robber wearing a mask and cape entered the Dollar General on Old Dublin Pike in Hamilton Township, Atlantic County, at 6:30 p.m. The suspect was shot and then fled the store before passing out on the pavement outside.

23-year-old, Roosevelt Rappley is believed to be the culprit who died in action, He was shot in the hands by a Dollar General employee, according to Montgomery County Coroner Kent Harshbarger, but the exact cause of death, however, has not yet been established.

Unfortunately, the police had previously arrested him. The police have released a statement via Lt. Jason Hall where he said, “The deceased did have a pending weapons charge that was waiting to move forward. Right now, we are looking into the possibility that this individual may have been involved in several other commercial robberies.”

The Dayton Police Department is still investigating Rappley’s criminal record. The Dayton police are continuing to look into what occurred at Dollar General that day, but there is no cause for concern that anything other than an armed robbery was attempted by Rappley when he was shot by the cashier.

However, shocking news erupts when Rappley’s family does not want to admit their relative was committing a crime at the time he was shot by the Dollar General clerk. They are portraying Roosevelt as an innocent man who fell victim to “a senseless act of violence” and is now a “victim of the system” Instead.

But an eyewitness has debunked the family’s claim saying, the suspect entered the dollar store with a gun and demanded money from the register and the armed employee confronted the suspect and that Rappley was pointing the gun at people.”

Dollar General released a statement about the attempted robbery in one of their stores:

“To protect the integrity of these measures, we do not comment on them specifically,” the company said in a statement. “We are continuing to review the circumstance surrounding this evening’s events in Dayton, Ohio, and are cooperating with local authorities in their investigation.”

A Montgomery County grand jury also found that a Dollar General employee who shot and killed a guy during an armed robbery acted lawfully after several months of a legal battle.

According to the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office, the grand jury declined to charge the store manager and concluded that “the store manager behaved appropriately under the circumstances.”
