White House Staff ‘Tapped Out’ as Biden Administration Flounders  ⋆ And so the exodus continues

The Biden White House has been shedding staff faster than a Husky in a Florida summer sheds its coat, and the last few weeks have seen some of the worst of it.

For many, Biden’s continued failures as President are reason enough to take a hike, while others are certainly keeping a keen eye on his plummeting approval numbers and wondering how their attachment to the ineffectual Commander in Chief will affect their future political aspirations.

Others still, it seems, are just tired, unable to keep up with the constant turnover and understaffing in a White House that is already under a great deal of duress.

“Given the complex challenges that the administration is facing, these departures are coming at an inopportune time,” said Democratic strategist Joel Payne.

Still, Payne added, “at this point in an administration, it is not abnormal to experience attrition.”

One senior administration official acknowledged that many aides are “tapped out.”

Then, tacitly:

“It’s been a long few years,” the official said. “The burnout is real. It might not be the ideal time to leave with everything going on, but it’s the right time.”

And it’s not only Biden’s staff who’ve been departing in droves.

Vice President Kamala Harris’ reputation for “bullying” has also pushed out a number of her subordinates, including some high profile members of the veep’s team.
