Heading into the holidays single and not feeling great about it? Well, at least you’re not in a relationship with a rag doll. A woman in Brazil by the name of Meirivone Rocha Moraes claims to have met the love of her life in the shape of a rag doll named Marcelo.

In fact, in a bizarre series of events, Moraes stated that her relationship is “hanging by a thread” after the doll allegedly cheated on her.

37-year-old Moraes married Marcelo in December 2021, and yes it was all documented, and they were all surrounded by real people. Later, the woman even announced the birth of her doll-baby named Marcelinho. At the time, the woman stated that she had a home birth, adding that a doctor and nurse were involved in the birthing process.

Moraes had made headlines last year after opening up about her romance with Marcelo, a rag doll made by her mother for her due to her complaints about being single with no one to dance with.

Moraes talks about the trouble in her married life in a TikTok video, which has been viewed more than a million times.

“I found out through a friend who told me that she saw Marcelo entering a motel with another woman while I was hospitalised for three nights and three days with Marcelinho, our son, who had a virus,” she said in the video.

“At first, I thought she was lying, but then I started looking through his phone and I saw the conversations, which made me sure he was cheating,” the woman further said.

Moraes said her husband “kept denying everything” but said he still loves her and begged for forgiveness.

She has also posted a number of photos on Instagram that show the couple in happy times. In one of the posts, Moraes said this marriage is “difficult to understand but there is a lot of love involved”.
