This day in age being a police officer is a much more dangerous job than it was just a few decades ago. We have the Democrats to thank for that by causing racial tensions and hatred for those with opposing views.

Citizens become more hateful and defensive toward police and cause more problems. Due to these circumstances, police officers must stay on high alert which in turn could cause them to make mistakes that could cost them their lives. It is a vicious cycle.

In this case, an officer just doing his job in a very respectful and professional manner issued a ticket to a truck driver. The truck diver then lunged at the officer with a screwdriver stabbing him in the neck. As a result of this heinous act, the man was shot dead by the officer.

Luckily the officer ended up in the ICU and is expected to make a full recovery.

We are left wondering why this man decided to end his life and potentially the life of the officer over a ticket.

According to Breitbart News,

Body cam video from a Sugercreek, Ohio, officer shows a truck driver allegedly stab the officer with a screwdriver before being shot dead.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, and the video was released the next day.

Cleveland 19 reports that the officer, Captain Brian Dalton, was allegedly attacked with a screwdriver around 10:00 am.

Dalton came into contact with the suspect, 32-year-old Elijah Collins III, while responding to reports of a truck being driven through lawns.

Dalton handed Collins a citation and told him he would have to appear in municipal court. Collins allegedly responded by grabbing a screwdriver and stabbing Dalton in the neck.

The Daily Mail reports that Dalton shot and killed Collins after being stabbed.

Dalton remains in ICU but his condition is improving.

Police officers are some of the most underpaid people in the workforce. Its a shame, especially for the extreme risk and danger they take on every day.
