Unfortunate Side Effects Of Pfizer Vaccine Could Impact Millions Of Americans

With all these new vaccines getting approved and one even being distributed in the United Kingdom it seems like our COVID nightmare could be coming to an end. The mind-numbing solitude and months of isolation will be nothing more than a distant memory this time next year.

But there is still one big annoying problem with the vaccines and that is not everyone is willing to take them. In fact, according to a recent poll, less than 60% of Americans are willing to receive the shot that will immunize them from this particular strain of the coronavirus. To end the pandemic the country would need over 70% of citizens to develop immunity.

Now, there seems to be a potentially dangerous side effect from the Pfizer vaccine that could delay our return to normalcy even more.

Two people who were jabbed with Pfizer’s recently-approved coronavirus vaccine in the UK had to be treated for serious adverse reactions — leading to warnings that those with “significant” allergies may not be able to get it.

The unidentified duo — both staff in the UK’s National Health Service (NHS) — needed treatment for an “anaphylactoid reaction” Tuesday after they were among the first in the world to get the shot.

They both had serious reactions, but recovered after treatment, the NHS said.

The pair both had a history of allergic responses, and each carried an adrenaline shot — sometimes called EpiPens — used to save people from potentially fatal reactions.

Here in our home country, President Trump has touted his Operation Warp Speed plan, which would call on government officials and military leaders to help distribute the vaccine.  Everyone is holding their breath waiting for approval from the FDA.
