Michelle Obama recently opened up about her ‘low-grade depression’ on episode two of ‘The Michelle Obama Podcast’ and blamed it on the Trump administration. The president’s campaign lawyer suggested that it is because of her ‘liberalism.’
The former first lady admitted that she has been dealing with ‘some form of low-grade depression’ because of the pandemic, racial conflict, and the ‘hypocrisy’ of the Trump administration. She spoke about her ’emotional highs and lows’ and how ‘exhausting’ it is to watch how Trump responds to ‘yet another story’ of a black man being killed.
Alan Scott Bolden sympathized with Michelle saying, “I certainly agree with her. Thirty percent plus, according to the census bureau, all of us are feeling some form of anxiety or depression, low-level — she didn’t say clinical — because of this pandemic, the lack of leadership, and the numbers keep going up.”
Jenna Ellis fired back at Mrs. Obama on Fox News, “I think that this is more of an issue of Michelle Obama’s liberalism because the Family Institute for Studies has shown that actually conservatives tend to be more joyful and more happy overall with their lives because we still believe in the pillars of society, which is the church and the family.”

The former first lady said during her podcast that “spiritually, these are not fulfilling times.”
“So I would encourage Michelle Obama to go to church,” said Ellis, “and to find meaning in the Lord Jesus Christ as her own personal savior.”
Ellis also addressed Scott’s take on Trump’s actions, “I’d really like to know what Scott is referring to when he’s talking about this president with all of the coronavirus response, it’s been absolutely excellent.”
