A 61-year-old Cincinnati woman has been arrested, accused of pouring hot grease on another woman during an argument.

Charlene Thompson was arrested after Hamilton County police say she poured hot grease on someone during an argument. Thompson is accused of dumping the grease on the unnamed victim Sunday, leaving them with severe burns to their back and arm.

Prior to this arrest, the news station reports that Thompson was accused twice between November 2016 and March 2017 of throwing rocks at a male neighbor’s windows, breaking them in the most recent offense, police wrote in criminal complaints.

She also was charged with assault and criminal damaging or endangerment and criminal trespass in 2008.

She was also slapped with a domestic violence charge in 2006 for allegedly striking her daughter in the mouth and back of the head on Christmas Eve, though the charge was later dismissed.

With a history of violent offenses, it seems like Thomson has been escalating her crimes until this incident that resulted in her pouring hot grease on her victim.

It’s clear that Thomson has a problem with controlling her anger, especially when it comes to her neighbors and those around her. The hot grease incident is definitely one of the most severe and dangerous attacks she has done so far.

Thompson appeared in court Wednesday, where Assistant Hamilton County Prosecutor David Wood reportedly request a high bond amount, as the victim suffered a serious injury.

“I’m requesting a high bond as the court is well aware, burns are some of the most devastating, painful, debilitating, long-term injures that someone can suffer,” said Wood.

A judge set her bond at $50,000 and ordered her to keep away from her victim. And if convicted, she could face up to 11 years in prison for her crime.
