During a White House Press briefing, Sarah Sanders was asked by a member of the press if she, as a mother, would defend President Donald Trump’s tweets to her children…
“On a personal level, you have sat here and talked about your family from this podium, are you going to tell your kids this behavior is OK?”
What follows will make you proud of Sarah, and proud to be a parent. We need more good people like her!
As written for Independent Journal Review by Benny Johnson:
President Trump tweeted an early morning attack against MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski on Thursday, which became arguably the biggest story of the day among media outlets.
In the tweets, Trump disparaged Brzezinski’s intelligence and “face lift” that he claims she had before visiting with him in Mar-a-Lago over the New Year holiday. Many on all sides of politics and media have condemned the tweets.
In the White House briefing today, Sarah Sanders was asked during a speed round of questions about the tweet, ending in an exchange which ended the conversation.
“Look, I’ve been asked before, when it comes to role models, as a person of faith, I think we all have one perfect role model and when I’m asked that question, I point to God. I point to my faith and that’s where I would tell me kids to look. None of us are perfect and certainly there’s only one that is and that’s where I would point that direction.”
