Plummeting Ratings Could Mean The End Of Major News Network

It’s no surprise that CNN is not doing well. With all the hate toward President Trump and the fake news they are pushing, they continue to falter in the ratings. They have now even been beaten by the Discovery Channel.

CNN is suffering a credibility crisis as viewership for the once-proud network continues to crater with no apparent plan in place to fix things anytime soon,” according to media watchdogs and insiders.

Joe Concha, the Hill media guru, told Fox News that CNN’s freefall will not be slowing down. In the second quarter of 2019, the audience has shriveled to a measly 541,000 viewers. That’s less than half of Fox News Channels’ average of 1.3 million.

“The numbers warrant concern, yes. Q2 was a particularly news-rich quarter highlighted by the release of the Mueller report and all the aftermath and controversy following it, plus the launch of several high-profile Democratic candidacies including Joe Biden and Pete Buttigieg to propel 2020 coverage into high gear,” Concha said. “It may only get worse in Q3 given the numbers we’re already seeing.”

“Losing nearly 40 percent of an already third-place audience must be a primary topic in internal meetings, with immediate remedies not readily apparent,” Concha said.

CNN employees are scurrying. They are worried that they don’t have the contracts that the Liberal Pundits do.

“The people that are concerned – it’s certainly not the anchors who have lucrative contracts – it’s the people among the lower levels, such as producers and show bookers,” one employee said.

Some blame streaming services for this dramatic drop in ratings but that can’t be the only reason or the other networks would be suffering too. Maybe CNN will take the hint and back off of Trump with the hate speech but I doubt it since that seems to be a staple topic for all the hosts.
