MSNBC host Joy Reid compared famous NBA player LeBron James to Muhammad Ali, referring to him as “today’s equivalent” to the social justice activist.
The problem is that James isn’t really an activist.
Reid tweeted on Saturday, “‘I’ll say it again. LeBron James is today’s Muhammad Ali and Bill Russell, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Glad he has that platform. Keep speaking, @KingJames.”

The host’s comment was in response to soccer star Zlatan Ibrahimovic stating that James should do what he’s best at and stick to basketball and not politics.
