We all know under Biden’s regime the Second Amendment is under threat every day. The right to bear arms is continuously attacked, whether it’s the ATF’s attempts to restrict the ownership of gun components or through President Biden’s call for an assault weapons ban.
But fear not! Someone from the GOP is speaking out against the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. And yes it’s Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida.
In a recent address on the House chamber’s floor, the representative of Florida urged his fellow lawmakers to help end it once and for all. As Gaetz cited the latest guidance from the ATF that restricts the ownership of gun components—calling it a direct assault on the Second Amendment and even referred to the ATF as an “unlawful agency.”
The House Judiciary Committee has been tasked with considering Gaetz’s “Abolish the ATF Act,” H.R. 374, which states simply: “The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives is hereby abolished,” as Gaetz is now pushing for a bill that would abolish the ATF in its entirety.
The Second Amendment is threatened by the ATF, but why? As Gaetz noted, although many disabled veterans in his district utilize the stabilizing bracing to shoot effectively and safely, the ATF’s decision would turn them into felons, why? Well, recently the organization announced that it would treat pistols with stabilizing accessories like short-barreled rifles, which require a federal license to own under the National Firearms Act.
Attorney General Merrick Garland, however, stated that they should be subject to “heightened requirements,” he announced the restrictions to stabilizing brace accessories; as the ATF has defended its decision to treat the modified pistols no differently than rifles.

The right to bear arms is an important part of our Constitution, and it must be defended at all costs! And to make sure that the ATF doesn’t succeed, we must stand with Gaetz and his colleagues. As it’s clear NOW that the ATF is trying to restrict the rights of gun owners, and silence the voices of those who are fighting for the Second Amendment.
