Is Elon Musk Turning X Into An Adult Film Hub?

More News For You

We all know much in the way that prostitution is the world’s oldest profession, pornography has been on the internet for about as long as the internet has been in existence.

It’s one thing entirely when that kind of stuff is kept to its own corner. Keep all the perverts in one spot so we can keep a good eye on them as far as I am concerned.

However, it is a little difficult to keep an eye on all of these people when there is either pornographic material or something close to it just about everywhere you turn.

Even my beloved X is not immune to this. In the past, there have been NSFW accounts on the platform and every so often one of them would get shut down.

The previous administration that ran the site when it was still known as Twitter did what I would call a fairly decent job of getting these porn accounts at bay. Like they were there, but they weren’t popping up every five seconds.

While it never officially forbade porn accounts, it never actually approved of them either. It was one of those weird middle-ground things.

Well, until now. Apparently the social media giant has added a clause to its ever-changing rule set stating that pornographic material will be allowed on the platform providing that the content that is exhibited is consensual and legal.

Now let me ask you this people…how are they going to be able to properly monitor that? Shoot, the pornography industry had a problem with the issue of legality among the performers for years to begin with and that’s with actual documentation.

The other alarming thing about all of this is that due to the rule change, AI-generated videos with explicit content are going to be allowed as well. This means that someone is now going to be able to legally produce a deep fake video of someone engaging in a sexual act and spread it around for all the world to see.

This is pretty dangerous due to the fact there are still several professions where people have moral turpitude clauses in their employment contracts. There stands to be a good risk of someone totally innocent of anything wrong being made out to be that they were acting in a porno movie and end up losing their job over it.

I am all for people to have the freedom to do the things that they want to do and express themselves in the manner they best see fit, but at the end of the day if it is something for public consumption there should be a little more decorum than people out and out having sex for all the world to see.
