Lately, President Trump and Georgia Governor Brian Kemp have not been seeing eye to eye, and the Commander in Chief is losing his patience with the dissonance.
Kemp won a highly contested election in the Peach State back in 2018, and there’s no doubt that the support he received from Donald Trump paved the way to that victory. Now, President Trump is calling in that favor as he seeks to have the Georgia balloting process further inspected.
The Georgia Governor denied the request so President Trump took to Twitter to express his feelings.
From Mediaite:
President Donald Trump seemed to demand a “call off” for the upcoming Senate runoff election in Georgia, are race that is set to determine control of the Senate.
“Do something Brian Kemp,” Trump tweeted at the Republican governor of the state. “You allowed your state to be scammed. We must check signatures and count signed envelopes against ballots. Then call off election. It won’t be needed. We will all WIN!
Trump issued a series of blistering tweets assailing the Republican governors of Arizona and Georgia on Tuesday. Both states have certified the results of the election in favor of Joe Biden, with Georgia doing so after a hand recount that confirmed the president’s defeat. Trump said this week he was ashamed to have endorsed Kemp and pressured him to overturn the results.
The President’s legal team has been working their way across the country, hoping to uncover enough evidence of “illegal” ballots or widespread voter fraud to give Trump another shot at 4 more years in the White House.
