We have made it to Election Day and we are about to cross the finish line. It all comes down to a chilly night in November and the anticipation is insurmountable.

The entire nation is on edge. The United States of American has been torn in two by a pandemic, economic hardship, racial unrest, and what has become the most volatile political atmosphere in recent history.

No matter the outcome on Tuesday night, someone will be unhappy. There will be trouble on the streets of our nation and the nature of that trouble depends on who that someone is.

The White House has made preparations for either outcome in DC.

From The Hill:

A “non-scalable” fence will reportedly be installed around the White House one day before ballots are cast on Tuesday as concerns mount over potential unrest on Election Day.

According to CNN, the fence will be similar to the barrier that was erected along the White House’s perimeters earlier this year amid widespread protests following the police killing of George Floyd in late May.

The fence will reportedly go up on Monday around the Ellipse and Lafayette Square, on 15th Street and Constitution Avenue NW, as well as 17th Street and on H Street NW.

The fence around the White House is nearly identical to the ones used to protect it during the protests fueled by racial inequality earlier this year.
