There has been a great deal of talk lately about the possibility that Americans who choose to remain unvaccinated could soon find themselves living in an entirely different caste system than currently exists in America.
Well, at least one that isn’t publicly acknowledged.
In any case, the unvaccinated are losing a great many privileges of late, from being shut out of concerts to having to be uncomfortably swabbed in order to attend a baseball game.
Now, in what may be some of their boldest languages yet, the CDC is suggesting that the unvaccinated also shouldn’t be making any plans for this weekend.
CDC director Dr. Rochelle Walensky advised unvaccinated people against traveling over the upcoming Labor Day weekend as the U.S. battles back a surge in Covid-19 hospitalizations caused by the highly contagious delta variant.
“Given where we are with disease transmission right now, we would say that people need to take their own these risks into their own consideration as they think about traveling,” Walensky said during a White House Covid briefing Tuesday, noting that people who are fully vaccinated and wear masks can travel. “If you are unvaccinated, we would recommend not traveling.”
This, just a day after CNN’s Don Lemon had the audacity to suggest that the unvaccinated should not be going to the hospital when they fall ill, flippantly concerning himself with the resources they would be utilizing should they need admission.
