It’s no secret that the Democratic Party, and the Biden administration in particular, have been far too nonchalant about the situation in Afghanistan of late, but what we’re hearing from the Speaker of the House today is patently ridiculous.
The cruel terror organization known as the Taliban is now in control of the entire middle easter nation, which is now called the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, and that this is ostensibly bad news for the people of the country.
The speed at which the takeover occurred was jarring, to say the least, and a great many American assets were soon in the hands of the terrorist organization.
For Nancy Pelosi, this is just another day in the life of a withdrawing party.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., was ripped for trying to spin reports of billions of dollars of U.S. military equipment now in the hands of the Taliban, arguing it’s “what happens” when troops leave.
“This is what happens when you withdraw,” Pelosi said in an interview with KPIX 5 News Tuesday. “Some stuff is left there. It was thought that would be used. It was hoped that would be used by the Afghan military to defend its own country.”
And then:
“The fact that it did not and could not,” Pelosi added, “was all more the reason for us to leave.”
