The women on the View are paid to bicker, gossip and squawk. It’s probably the only thing they are good at.
They are all also blinded by their hatred of Trump. In a recent episode, they discussed the impeachment hearing with Meghan McCain and how support for impeachment has dropped.
Behar: “Can I say one thing—what about the Constitution? Isn’t that the bottom line?”
McCain: “I have a copy of the Constitution on my nightstand. Please don’t talk to me about the Constitution.”
I’m not sure what the purpose was of that little remark other than just to feign how patriotic she is.
Hostin: “I will also say that it tells me that he is complicit, the Republican Party has enabled this president, continues to enable this president.”
This led to McCain accusing Hostin of “slandering” a former CIA officer.
Hostin: “It’s about the fact that he heard evidence clear and simple and for him to sit there and say that he—the evidence has to be overwhelming and that he heard no overwhelming evidence, I want to know which hearings he was sitting at.”
McCain: “It’s easy to get a cheap applause line here. It just is, and that’s fine. Take your cheap applause line.”
After Hostin sternly responded that it isn’t a “cheap applause line” and “they agree” with her, McCain yelled: “Let me speak!”
Hostin: “You have been speaking a lot.”
It is true that McCain is very outspoken and is really bad about interrupting others.
It’s amazing at how blind they are to the real world and actual facts. Every single witness that testified said they had no evidence of Trump withholding money from Ukraine as bribery. And yet all these women believe that Trump is guilty.
