We are constantly reminded every day that masks are an efficient way to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our country. The issue has now come down to whether or not the American government has the authority to make wearing a mask mandatory.

Americans are notorious for being outspoken when it comes to being told what we can and cannot do with our bodies.that is why, despite medical research and opinions of top health professionals, many Americans are forcefully and stubbornly refusing to follow local mask-wearing mandates.

Now, The mayor of New York City is stirring the pot by forcing new mask-wearing rules.

In announcing a testing blitz to take place in emerging coronavirus hotspots in New York City, Mayor Bill de Blasio also warned that there is going to be an enforcement blitz.

Nine ZIP codes in the city are seeing a spike in new COVID-19 cases.

The mayor announced during a Tuesday morning briefing that there will be a lot more community outreach in those areas including hundreds of so-called Trace Corps members and hundreds of additional city agency workers in the neighborhoods.

Patrols will start issuing fines to people who refuse to wear masks even after being offered a free mask and a warning that not wearing it will result in a fine.

Surly, the anti-mask crowd will not take this lying down as they believe that forcing someone to wear a mask over their mouth and nose compares to tyranny.
