Horrific Discovery Found In Virginia Airport Luggage From China

A disgusting discovery has been found inside luggage at a Virginia airport and it is definitely not for the faint of heart. What really makes this situation threatening is that it came from China at a time when coronavirus is still very much a problem.

Security at the Dulles International Airport in Virginia confiscated a package containing close to 100 small dead birds.

The packaging was sealed and had a label in Chinese that read “pet food.” It’s not clear what kind of pet these are for and why they had to be smuggled in all the way from China.

It is sad to think that somewhere in Chine baby birds are being killed and sold as food in mass quantities.

According to Casey Durst, who serves as director of field operations for CBP’s Baltimore Field Office, “These dead birds are prohibited from importation to the United States as unprocessed birds pose a potentially significant disease threat to our nation’s poultry industries and more alarmingly to our citizens as potential vectors of avian influenza. Customs and Border Protection agricultural specialists continue to exercise extraordinary vigilance every day in their fight to protect our nation’s agricultural and economic prosperity from invasive pests and animal diseases.”

Could this have been some kind of attempt to bring in a new disease from China into the United States like another form of coronavirus or maybe even bird flu? There is a reason rules are put into place to keep this kind of stuff from entering the country so be careful and extra vigilant about who you get your pet food from.
