Well over four years removed from the original RussiaGate conspiracy theory, that launched a massive, 22-month long investigation by Robert Mueller, Hillary Clinton is back to her old tricks.
The former Secretary of State was one of the original proponents of the idea that Donald Trump may have been working as some sort of Kremlin double agent, and that his true allegiance may be to Vlad Putin – not Uncle Sam.
Of course, when Robert Mueller was done with his investigation, he declined to charge the President with any crime.
Now, with Trump leaving office on Wednesday, Hillary is again bringing up the RussiaGate Ruse, this time in connection with the Capitol riots of January 6th.
From a recent episode of her podcast:
“We learned a lot about our system of government over the last four years with a president who disdains democracy and, as you have said numerous times, has other agendas,” Clinton said.
“What they all are, I don’t think we yet know. I hope historically we will find out who he’s beholden to, who pulls his strings. I would love to see his phone records to see whether he was talking to Putin the day that the insurgents invaded our Capitol,” Clinton continued, also placing blame on Trump’s “enablers,” “accomplices,” and “cult members” — a likely reference to his supporters, whom she famously referred to as “deplorables” during her 2016 campaign […]
Clinton went on to ponder the merit of a 9/11-style commission to investigate the events of January 6th.
