Another frivolous lawsuit has been filed against former President Trump, this time accusing them of negligence at a beach resort that they don’t even own.
Once again, Trump finds himself the subject of a lawsuit, this time for third-degree burns a man suffered at a beach resort that he doesn’t even own. Theoharis Lekas, a diabetic from New Jersey, claims that the resort was negligent for not posting signs recommending footwear, leading to severe burns on his feet, which ultimately resulted in the amputation of one toe and part of his foot.
Lekas’ lawyer, Bill Matsikoudis, filed the lawsuit with the New York Supreme Court, seeking an unspecified amount that is likely to be over $1 million. The lawsuit claims that the resort touts its collaboration with Donald Trump, although it’s not directly owned by him.
“The lawsuit speaks for itself – the resort was negligent,” said Matsikoudis, whose firm is representing Lekas. “We’re hoping the damages don’t increase. There is the prospect his injuries could worsen.”
This is just one of the many lawsuits that Trump is currently facing. A high-profile court case in New York has even led to the former president being indicted. In April, Trump was forced to answer questions for seven hours during his second deposition in New York Attorney General Letitia James‘ civil suit against him.
“He remains resolute in his stance that he has nothing to conceal, and he looks forward to educating the attorney general about the immense success of his multibillion-dollar company,” said Trump’s attorney, Alina Habba. Trump was reportedly “not only willing but also eager to testify,” according to Habba.
However, Trump has not shied away from attacking the case on his social media platform, Truth Social. “This civil case is ridiculous, just like all of the other Election Interference cases being brought against me,” he wrote. “If I had a fair judge, this case would have never happened. MAGA!”
This recent lawsuit against Trump is another example of the left’s ongoing efforts to attack the former president. They have tried to impeach him twice and continue to push conspiracy theories about him. It’s clear that this is a continuation of the left’s efforts to silence Trump and his supporters.
Furthermore, the lawsuit is baseless and absurd. The resort in question is not even owned by Trump, yet he is still being targeted by this frivolous lawsuit. It’s obvious that the plaintiff and his lawyers are just trying to cash in on Trump’s name and reputation.
It’s time to put an end to these baseless lawsuits and hold the left accountable for their actions. The Democrats have been attacking Trump for years, and it’s time for them to stop. They need to focus on governing and not on their personal vendettas against Trump.
