Throughout the coronavirus pandemic, there has been one man leading the charge when it comes to overkill: Dr. Anthony Fauci.
Sure, in the early days of the pandemic, Fauci was the go-go guy. He was, and still likely is, the top epidemiologist in the world, and he was in the unique position of providing expertise to us for a once-in-a-lifetime disaster.
But, as the pandemic wore on, waxing and waning, Fauci’s advice hasn’t always followed suit, leading many to wonder exactly what level of care the Doctor has been putting into his diatribes.
His latest suggestion will almost certainly have Americans shaking their heads.
During a live streaming session hosted by the Washington Post, Fauci pushed the hosts of holiday parties to demand the vaccination status of guests before they enter the gathering.
“People should, if they invite people over to their home, to essentially ask and maybe require that people show evidence that they are vaccinated,” Fauci said in a Republican National Committee’s clip of the stream.
“That is the reality of the situation,” Fauci said about his recommended restrictions, noting the rules make vaccinated people feel “comfortable”.
Of course, if it is simply comfort that Fauci seeks, it makes his advice no more effective than the TSA, who are not so much “security” as they are “security theater”.
We wonder just how many Americans will be checking vaccination status at the door on Christmas morning.
