You ever notice how the people who talk the loudest about “tolerance” are usually the first ones to lose their minds when you dare to disagree with them? Hollywood and its satellite world of reality TV have been pushing this “we love diversity” routine for years. They beam about how open-minded they are, how much they embrace everyone. And then you scratch the surface and—surprise—it’s all just an act.
Case in point: Jennifer Welch, former Bravo star of Sweet Home Oklahoma, who just put on a master class in what happens when the “tolerant” mask slips. This week on her “I’ve Had It” podcast, Welch decided that Trump supporters shouldn’t be allowed to eat at Chinese, Mexican, or Indian restaurants. Nope. She says we should haul our “fat asses over to Cracker Barrel” instead.
That’s not satire. She actually said it. And she wasn’t laughing.
The Triple Trump “Crime”
Welch kicked off her tirade with a rant about “white people that triple Trumped.” What’s that mean? Apparently, it’s her insult for folks who support President Trump on immigration, DEI, and LGBTQ issues—or just had the audacity to vote for him three times. In other words, people who think differently than she does. And that, according to Welch, is a jailable offense… or at least an excuse to kick you out of every restaurant that doesn’t serve meatloaf and fried okra.
Her logic—or whatever passes for logic here—was that Trump supporters don’t deserve to enjoy “the best thing America has to offer, which is multiculturalism.” She said it while spewing pure contempt for an entire swath of the country. That’s not multiculturalism. That’s just bigotry with better tablecloths.
But Wait — There’s More!
Not to be outdone, Welch’s co-host Angie “Pumps” Sullivan jumped in with her own brand of condescending nonsense. She told conservative women to give up their credit cards, close their bank accounts, and be “completely beholden to a man.” You know, because that’s what we’re supposedly “voting for.”
She even threw in the line that Trump-supporting women should “stay home and make cornflakes from scratch.” I don’t know who’s making cornflakes from scratch in 2025, but apparently Angie thinks this is the GOP platform.
The hypocrisy here could power the Las Vegas strip for a month. These two claim to champion women, minorities, and independence—until the wrong kind of woman or minority walks into the room. Then it’s “hand over your debit card and get back in the kitchen.”
America Pushes Back
The good news? The internet wasn’t buying any of it. Social media lit them up like a Christmas tree.
“It’s always the most intolerant and hateful pretending to love everyone,” one commenter said. Another noted the irony: “Ah, so minorities are just flavors to her, this explains so much.” And someone else pointed out the painfully obvious: “Legal immigrants are not illegal immigrants! Stop conflating the two.”
Even the White House weighed in. Spokesperson Abigail Jackson didn’t mince words: “Rich liberal white women love to pretend to be champions of diversity until they are confronted by diversity of thought. President Trump was elected by a historically diverse coalition of Americans from all races, religions, and orientations.”
The Real Problem
This isn’t just about two out-of-touch podcasters shooting their mouths off. It’s a reflection of a much bigger attitude problem in certain circles. These folks think diversity means skin color, ethnicity, and gender identity—but somehow, conveniently, not political thought. The minute you step outside the ideological bubble, you’re not just wrong—you’re unworthy of basic respect.
Jennifer Welch thinks she’s making some grand moral point. What she’s actually doing is showing exactly why so many Americans are fed up with the celebrity echo chamber. We don’t need lectures on tolerance from people who can’t stand to be in the same restaurant with us. And if Cracker Barrel is supposed to be a punishment… well, bring on the chicken-fried steak and biscuits. We’ll manage just fine.
