Rich Welsh| Despite harsh criticism of Governor Ron DeSantis’ handling of the coronavirus by the loony Democrats, including President Joe Biden, Florida is reporting the lowest amount of coronavirus cases per capita in the nation.
A daily average of 1,393 COVID cases reported as of Friday, which is 6 per 100,000, a 2% decrease over the past two weeks.
DeSantis has been blasted by critics in the Fake News media since the beginning of the pandemic over his resistance to government-forced mask and vaccine mandates. In 2020, DeSantis was accused by a moron Democratic politician of going on a “killing spree” for opposing mask mandates and a Vanity Fair headline from September of this year called the governor an “angel of death.”
As is always the case with leftist lunatics, while Florida is now reported as the state having the lowest new cases per capita, COVID cases are skyrocketing where harsh lockdowns were imposed by Democratic governors.
It’s like the mainstream news media no longer even pretends to do real news.
New York is reporting a daily average of 6,666 cases, which amounts to 34 per 100,000 compared to Florida’s 6.
Disgraced former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo was praised by the woke media for his handling of the COVID pandemic even though he really was the angel of death when he ordered COVID-infected patients to take up residence at nursing homes where the most vulnerable people, the elderly, reside, killing over 15,000 people that we know of. The doofus even won an Emmy Award for his daily COVID briefings.
Cuomo’s replacement, Kathy Hochul, is just as loony tunes as her predecessor. She just canceled a surgery because of the new South African variant being named Omicron before a single American has come down with it.
You would think that once the Emmys found out that Cuomo killed all those people and then tried to hide it from the federal government, they would take back the award, but giving him the Emmy was all part of the plan to favor woke politicians over politicians who supported then President Donald Trump.
“It just shows once again the success of Governor DeSantis’s science based and data based policies,” DeSantis Press Secretary Christina Pushaw said about the case levels in Florida. “He’s always made decisions based on the data and that continued even during the Delta surge this summer what he realized would help was not mask mandates in school or lockdowns but provide treatment that actually works.”
“He opened the 25 state-supported monoclonal antibody sites and provided that treatment all over the state free of charge to over 150,000 Floridians, saved thousands of lives, and that happened starting in August,” Pushaw added. “Since then our cases are down by over 95% with no restrictions on people’s freedom.”
Michigan’s Democratic Governor Gretchen Whitmer, the tyranness, enforced some of the most draconian COVID mitigation restrictions in the country at the height of the pandemic and they now lead the nation in daily cases per capita.
The problem for Democrats is while they are telling us in the most snarky way possible that they are following the science, in reality, they are doing everything but following the science.
Democrats are incapable of learning anything from past experience.
Case in point. Harvard recently did a study of 68 countries and 2,947 US counties that revealed that the populations that have the highest vaccination rates have the highest COVID cases, and that proves true even across subcategories.
And what about the Danish study that found that wearing face masks provided no extra protection from catching COVID?
And there was the prominent professor of medicine at Stanford University who said that lockdowns were the ‘biggest public health mistake we’ve ever made.
If these clowns running Democrat states actually followed the science, their people would be in as good a shape as Florida. I believe for them it’s not about public health for the woke progressives. I think it’s about control over our lives.
Pushaw said that she really “hopes” states like Michigan who are surging in cases right now will “learn from Florida’s experience” and promote treatments that work as opposed to lockdowns which “we’ve seen time and time again” do not. She shouldn’t hold your breath.
