Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden will flip-flop so fast it’ll make your head spin. From important key issues to personal positions he has held for decades the former vice president appears to have done a complete one-eighty to appeal to the more moderate voters.
Last year Biden made it clear he did not agree with court-packing. But recently other Democrats have threatened to do just that if President Trump’s pick for Supreme Court is appointed and the question was brought up again. Biden flat out refused to answer.
“It’s a legitimate question. But let me tell you why I’m not going to answer that question: Because it will shift all the focus. That’s what he wants,” Biden said referring to Trump. “He never wants to talk about the issue at hand. He always tries to change the subject.”
Fox News’ Trey Gowdy says Biden either forgot what he said before or is “beholden to the left.”
Gowdy also slammed former President Barack Obama for saying he would be voting for Biden because democracy is “at stake.”
“Here is what he can’t get his head around,” Gowdy said, “after eight years of Barack Obama and a field full of normal Republican candidates, the Republicans nominated Donald Trump and the American people elected him. That was the answer to Barack Obama’s eight years.”
Gowdy responded to Biden’s comments that the next president should pick the Supreme Court replacement.
“If you don’t like who the Supreme Court nominees are,” he said, “then win an election.”
“The reality is presidents are presidents for four years. You don’t have a sliding scale of diminished power the closer you get to someone else’s inauguration. … This is President Trump’s pick and he’s entitled to a vote,” Gowdy explained.
The fact of the matter is President Trump has every right to nominate a Supreme Court justice to fill the seat left vacant by Ruth Bader Ginsburg and this is just one more thing Democrats have chosen to start a war over.
